LEED for Cities and Communities. LEED = Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. A creation of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Cities can work to become certified to LEED standards, which include energy, waste, water, transportation, resilience, health and equity. The first two cities to be LEED-certified were Orlando FL and Cincinnati OH.
