Biomass Briquettes. Made from agricultural residues – mostly in developing countries – and used for a wide variety of tasks, ranging from thermal power generation at grid scale to cooking in individual homes. There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of credible technical information available online as to exactly how “green” a fuel biomass briquettes actually are. They are normally touted as a cleaner replacement for fossil fuels, and a substitute for just burning agricultural waste.
