Takoma Park MD. TP is a community with a wide variety of sustainable programs and activities, and a lot of public support for them. The City is trying to promote outlawing fossil fuel energy for certain activities, including water heating, gas stoves, and leaf blowers. It would close natural gas pipelines. And move gas stations out of the city. Takoma Park declared a Climate Emergency in 2019. It publishes online a Sustainability Catalog which shows & tells about all of the various programs dedicated to lowering GHG emissions in which the City plays a lead role.
